What is the debate about, wearing a mask or not wearing a mask?
It’s not about a constitutional right during a pandemic to wear a mask or not, but a moral responsibility to help keep your self safe as well as others.
From my understanding, the medical authorities are not trying to take your rights away, but to keep this pandemic from spreading and keeping everyone safe as possible along with social distancing during this pandemic. This is so simple and minor.
Look at how many people have died in the United States as well as the world. The numbers are staggering and devastating. Why wouldn’t you want to help yourself and others as much as possible?
Let’s talk about the United States. There are only so many doctors, nurses and health care workers in hospitals to take care of patients. Have you thought about there are other diseases, illnesses, and medical emergencies each day that the doctors and nurses have to care for besides the corona virus patients?
The doctors and nurses are human, they are not invincible. They get stressed out, over worked, no sleep and some die and get sick from the corona virus because their immune system is compromised. You can’t spread the health care workers so thinly. And what is so important is that there is no treatment or cure for this disease.
From what I hear, some nurses are quitting the profession because they are fearful of bringing the virus home to their families. Do you blame them? I don’t. The influx of cases are coming in every day. They can’t keep up with it and not getting every resource they need to help them in their fight against the virus and protecting themselves.
There is a word called selfishness which means devoted to or caring only for oneself, concerned primarily with ones own interests, benefits, welfare, etc. regardless of others.
Selfishness does not come from God. God is Love. In Galatians 5:22-23 the fruit of the Holy Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control.
We all have to work together to get this virus contained. Yes, it is difficult to stay home or around your community when you are use to going out, doing what you want to do, children going to school, sports, parents working, movies to see at the theater, laying out on the beach, traveling, etc. Things are different now and we have to adjust and have self control. We must realize life will throw curve balls and some are harder than others such as this corona virus that we are tackling.
If we are not willing to change our habits to keep our communities healthy this virus will take more lives and spread so rapidly, the American people will not recover.
Do you want this or do you want life? Yes, it’s hard now but if we hold on and keep our faith and cut back habits that we have, we can probably beat this thing.
Is going to a bar, a restaurant, clubbing just to be around others, on crowded beaches with lots of people, is it worth the risk of more sickness and death? Do you not want to live another day? It’s up to all of us to want to live and not let our desires get the best of us.
Our company Branch entertainment is sacrificing by not opening our doors for business to the public, physically seeing people. We feel others welfare and health is very important as well as our own well being. We feel hopefully one day this virus will have a treatment and a cure. But our hope is in the Lord, Jesus Christ and love for our fellow man.
